How To Be Visible and Credible In Business

Today’s guest is Mitchell Levy, whose name you might recognize from one of the more than 60 books this bestselling author, entrepreneur, thought leader and global credibility expert has written. You may also have seen his TEDx Talk.

Mitchell has extensive entrepreneurial experience. He has created 20 businesses in Silicon Valley, four of which are publishing companies that have produced more than 750 books. He’s here now to share some of the wisdom he has accumulated over the years.

A Focus on Credibility

Mitchell’s favorite thing about being an entrepreneur is freedom. He gets to decide what type of life he wants to live. Creating your own rules means you can challenge the status quo and serve your clients to the best of your ability.

For him, that means focusing on credibility. Credibility is a fundamental part of running a business because it’s how prospects decide whether they want to work with you. If you don’t have credibility, you don’t have clients.

The balance between the Credibility Nation and its opposite, the Dubious Nation, is skewed heavily in favor of dubiousness. Mitchell is dedicated to changing that.

Finding Clarity

During his interviews with some of today’s most well-known thought leaders, Mitchell found that 98 percent of them needed more clarity when it came to their message. That’s almost everyone, but how can that be? Having a message is essential to promoting yourself and your business.

Sometimes, entrepreneurs know who they want to be, but they don’t know what it means or how to get there. If that’s how you feel, you can start working toward a solution by deciding who you want to serve and how you want to serve them.

Other times, entrepreneurs struggle with the fact that their time is finite. There will always be more work to do and more people to serve, but you also need time to take care of yourself and your family. Finding the balance between those factors is one of the most challenging things you will ever do. For clarity here, begin by asking yourself how you want to live. The rest will follow.
